Job Title: Construction Site Supervisor
About the Company: Taylor Hollow Construction was founded in the year 2000 and builds primarily in Southwest Virginia. We are a full service, class A contractor that provides responsive customer service, top-quality work, and efficient construction management.
Position Summary: Taylor Hollow Construction is seeking a Construction Site Supervisor to assist the company as needed to successfully execute projects from concept to completion, on time and on budget. This site supervisor position will have a mix of management work and direct work.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Must be proficient in all aspects of building
- Proficient with all necessary power tools
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills
Ownership of Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the construction site from planning to close-out
- Provide a positive can-do attitude to crew and help identify when an employee is not working effectively
- Work together with subcontractors, supervisors, and inspectors to ensure company procedures and standards are executed on schedule
- Be able to complete/provide all paperwork expected by supervisor
- Effective communication and planning with subcontractors
- Willingness to enforce rules and standards with employees and subcontractors
Competency:
- Possess problem solving skills in the trade
- Have competence and follow instructions well
- Recognize when assistance is needed and use the company resources accordingly
