Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounting by recording journal entries, processing accounts payable and receivable, and performing account analysis.
- Reconcile bank statements, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts regularly to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare financial reports, including income statements, cash flow statements, and budget variance analyses.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, and other financial tools to streamline bookkeeping tasks.
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures, including account reconciliation and financial statement preparation.
- Assist with governmental accounting requirements and ensure adherence to relevant regulations for non-profit organizations or public entities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with familiarity in non-profit sectors.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken or similar platforms.
- Experience with bank reconciliation, account analysis, journal entries, and financial report writing.
- Knowledge of GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently and accurately.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
