What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Accountant position at Tax Workout Group?
We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Accountant in the Fort Lauderdale area of Florida.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and distribute customer invoices via various channels (e.g., email, mail)
- Process credit memos and billing adjustments as needed
- Maintain and update customer records, including contact and billing information
- Monitor and track special billing instructions or exceptions
- Balance and reconcile daily transaction records
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding billing or account discrepancies
- Assist with reporting related to accounts receivable and cash flow for management review
Requirements
- An Accounting degree with at least 2 years of experience
- 5 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or related administrative/accounting roles
- Very high proficiency using QuickBooks.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume invoicing
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, spreadsheets), Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented and very organized
- Accounts receivable management and collections
- Coordination with operations for forecasting and reporting
- CRM data entry and maintenance
- Check runs and accounts payable support
- Mail and administrative processing
- Vendor coordination and communication
- General office and operational support tasks
- Various follow-up items and workflow coordination across departments
