Tavern on George is hiring a full-time kitchen team member to join our gastropub in downtown New Brunswick. We’re looking for someone dependable who takes pride in preparing quality food and works well in a busy kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and complete daily food prep.
• Cook and plate menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards.
• Set up, stock, and maintain kitchen stations.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food storage procedures.
• Keep kitchen equipment and work areas clean and organized.
• Assist with deliveries, inventory organization, and opening and closing duties.
• Work closely with our Head Chef & BOH Manager.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant kitchen or line cook experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable attendance and a strong teamwork mindset.
• Available for a full-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to perform kitchen duties involving standing, lifting, and working around heat.
