JOB TITLE: Process Technician
EXEMPT STATUS: Hourly – Non-Exempt
POSITION PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to setup, process, and troubleshoot molding machines to assure print
compliant product.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Mold Setup/ Technician Responsibilities
- Setup Tool and maintain required documentation according to work order / traveler
- Start up plastic injection molding machines including auxiliary equipment
- Monitor and maintain machines running, troubleshooting as needed
- Work closely with inspection and perform documented inspection on all parts that are running in the work centers when required
- Work closely with team as required to minimize nonconforming parts being produced
- Document molding process and part weight per procedures
- Organizes and sets up workstations in manufacturing areas after startup
- Performs general housekeeping duties to keep your work area and the company neat and organized
- Follow safety requirements as outlined in the safety manual
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to lift 60 pounds on a consistent basis
- Exposure to extreme temperatures and loud working conditions
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Must have GED/High School Diploma
Related Experience:
- Prefer 1 year experience setup / processing injection molding machines
- Comprehensive understanding of Injection Molding auxiliary equipment
- Ability to drive forklift as needed and obtain forklift license
