Senior Risk Analyst Job Description
Job Title: Senior Risk Analyst FLSA: Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY: We are searching for a Risk Analyst who will utilize ETRM (RightAngle) to analyze and report mark-to-market valuations, risk positions, basis changes and profit/loss results daily. Our ideal candidate understands how to navigate complexity and facilitate strategic decision making.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Utilize ETRM system (RightAngle) to analyze and report accurate mark-to-market valuations, risk positions, basis changes and profit/loss results on a daily basis
▪
Drive standardization of processes that ensure timely generation and retrieval of reporting and risk analytics data (emphasis should be placed on the analysis and explanation of day-to-day profit/loss variations and position exposure generated from RightAngle)
▪
Ensure compliance with Company wide trading and position limits
▪
Assist with proper setup of trading strategies within RightAngle ensuring proper trade capture and reporting capabilities, assist with implementation and testing of software enhancements
▪
Analyze current market risk controls and middle office processes, while participating in the development and implementation of new procedures
▪
Establish strong relationships with key functional stakeholders including Credit, Finance and IT and instill confidence by demonstrating credibility and expertise on business and technical issues
▪
When needed, provide training and assistance to traders/schedulers on deal entry ensuring proper capture and reporting within RightAngle
▪
Validate the accuracy of daily pricing inputs and assist with identifying missing or incorrect pricing
▪
Develop and maintain desk procedures for deal input, middle office operations and reporting functions across the various risk personnel
▪
Assist accounting with reconciling between financial statements and risk estimates
Education:
▪
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline required
Experience:
▪
2 years industry experience in financial or energy trading environment
Other skills, attributes and abilities:
▪
Proficient in Microsoft Excel at a high level, particularly pivot tables
▪
Experience with ETRM system, Right Angle preferred
▪
Detailed oriented and strong interpersonal skills
▪
- Demonstrated understanding of market exposure and mark-to-market reporting
