Senior Risk Analyst – Gas & Power
Our client is seeking a Senior Risk Analyst with experience in natural gas and power within a power generation environment. This role will support risk management by developing models, validating valuations, monitoring portfolios, and ensuring compliance with policies and controls.
Must be able to work downtown in office daily.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and review risk models and reports for trading strategies and portfolios.
- Validate market valuations for new and existing deals.
- Monitor portfolio exposure and provide regular commentary on activity, utilization, and liquidity.
- Ensure adherence to risk policies and support compliance/audit reviews.
- Collaborate with traders, originators, finance, and IT to explain risk factors and improve risk systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related quantitative field.
- 5–7 years of relevant industry experience, including power generation.
- Strong analytical and data skills (Excel, SQL, R, VBA, or similar).
- Ability to manage complex projects, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Team-oriented with mentoring experience and a process improvement mindset.
- Onsite presence required; must be flexible to work extended hours when needed.
