Interim Senior Director, Licensed Games FP&A

Location: Onsite in Santa Monica and/or Hollywood, CA

Position Type: Interim / Contract

Compensation: $70.00 / hour OT on a W-2 basis

About the Role

Tatum by Randstad's client is seeking an experienced finance professional for an Interim Senior Director of FP&A role within a premier, unified gaming studio. This division brings together world-class IP to create immersive, enduring franchise experiences, with a specific focus on developing strategic partnerships with global licensors.

Reporting directly to the division’s EVP/CFO, you will lead all aspects of financial planning, forecasting, and analysis for the Licensed Games business. You will act as a critical bridge between accounting, corporate finance, and the Business Development team.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Forecasting: Lead and coordinate monthly reporting of revenue and expenses, submit forecast updates, build annual budgets, and support the 5-year strategic planning process.
• Month-End Close: Manage all aspects of the monthly close and reconciliation process, partnering directly with Controllership teams to ensure accurate transaction records, accruals, and variance reporting.
• Process & Technology Optimization: Drive operational efficiency and lead the improvement of existing financial processes, with a strong emphasis on leveraging AI tools and optimizing newly implemented Oracle ERP systems.
• Business Partnership: Support monthly meetings with business leads to evaluate results, track live updates against projections, manage marketing/production expense codes, and conduct ad-hoc modeling for emerging initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience: 10–15 years of combined finance and accounting experience, with a proven track record within a major media organization, entertainment studio, or top-tier accounting firm.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; an MBA or CPA is a strong plus.
• Technical Skills: Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel is required; hands-on experience with Oracle, SAP, or Longview is highly preferred.
• Core Competencies: Proficient with AI tools; strong analytical mindset for data-based decision making; excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders and drive work forward in a hybrid team setting.
