What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counter Team Members - Tatte Charles St (CAFÉ REOPENING) position at Tatte Bakery & Café?
Our Front of House team members create exceptional guest experiences through genuine hospitality. Counter Team Members welcome guests, share knowledge of our handcrafted food and beverages, operate the point-of-sale system, and help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting café.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome guests with warm, genuine hospitality and provide exceptional customer service
- Help guests navigate the menu by answering questions and making recommendations
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of Tatte's coffee, bakery, and savory offerings
- Accurately take guest orders using the point-of-sale system
- Follow all product preparation and packaging standards
- Deliver food and beverages to guests
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked café stations
- Support overall café cleanliness and visual brand standards
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Warm, engaging, and welcoming communication skills
- Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences
- Desire to help where needed and work as part of a team
- Commitment to living Tatte's core values and delivering on our mission
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Previous customer service or café experience is preferred but not required
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / WORKING CONDITIONS
- Strong communication skills to warmly engage with guests and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to grasp and reach overhead
- Ability to lift, move, and carry 50 pounds or more
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for 8 or more hours per shift
