Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Defense Travel Administrator (LDTA) to support U.S. Army travel operations. The successful candidate will serve as the senior DTS subject matter expert responsible for hierarchy management, routing lists, policy compliance, technical reviews, financial reconciliation support, and Tier II troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage DTS organizational structures and routing lists
- Conduct technical reviews of travel authorizations and vouchers
- Provide Tier II DTS support and troubleshooting
- Monitor compliance with JTR and DoD travel policy
- Generate DTS reports and metrics
- Support financial reconciliation and LOA management
- Train travelers and DTS users
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Defense Travel System (DTS) experience
- Demonstrated expertise interpreting and applying the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR)
- Experience serving as a Lead DTA, ODTA, LDTA, FDTA, or equivalent role
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Current DTMO TraX certifications including:
- DTA Maintenance
- Travel Policies (JTR)
- Initial TAOCO Training
- Experience managing:
- DTS organizational hierarchies
- Routing lists
- Lines of Accounting (LOAs)
- Debt Management
- Centrally Billed Account (CBA) reconciliation
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
Preferred Qualifications
- DD Form 577 appointment experience
- GFEBS interface troubleshooting experience
- Experience supporting Army, DoD, or Combatant Command travel programs
