What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance & Facilities Manager position at Tate Ornamental, Inc?
We are seeking a hands-on, highly organized Maintenance & Facilities Manager to oversee the daily operations, safety compliance, and physical upkeep of our buildings, equipment, vehicle fleet, and facility infrastructure across all three company divisions.
Buildings, industrial systems, a 100 vehicle fleet, safety and compliance across three divisions, a 9-person team, and the vendors and contracts behind all of it — one department, one person accountable. That's you.
This isn't a role where you wait for direction. You set the standard, build the team, make the call, and own the outcome. When an emergency hits or winter shuts things down, people look to you to take command — and you do. You'll manage the budget, hold the line on safety, mentor your crew, and sit across the table from executives and vendors alike, because you're the one who can speak both technical and business.
If you want a department to lead as your own — real authority, real accountability, and the room to build it the way it should be built — this is the seat.
Position reports to the VP of Finance.
