Overview:
TATCO Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Janitorial Supervisor to oversee daily custodial operations at an assigned client location. This position is responsible for supervising janitorial staff, maintaining service quality, ensuring cleaning requirements are consistently met, and supporting a safe, professional, and well-organized work environment. The Janitorial Supervisor will provide hands-on leadership to the onsite team while performing custodial duties as needed to support operations. This position serves as a key point of communication between onsite employees, TATCO management, and the client.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise janitorial staff and oversee daily cleaning operations.
- Assign work tasks and ensure scheduled cleaning requirements are completed accurately and on time.
- Conduct routine inspection rounds throughout the site to monitor cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and overall service quality; identify deficiencies and ensure corrective action is completed promptly.
- Inspect completed work to ensure TATCO and client quality standards are consistently maintained.
- Train and orient employees on cleaning procedures, equipment use, safety requirements, company policies, and client-site expectations.
- Provide employees with coaching, direction, and performance feedback.
- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, conduct, and work performance and promptly report concerns or policy violations to management.
- Perform custodial duties alongside the team as needed to maintain required service levels and staffing coverage.
- Ensure restrooms, offices, breakrooms, hallways, common areas, floors, glass surfaces, and other assigned areas are properly cleaned, sanitized, and maintained.
- Monitor cleaning supplies, chemicals, tools, and equipment; identify shortages and request replenishment as needed.
- Ensure cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment are safely used, properly stored, and maintained.
- Maintain required inspection logs, supply records, site reports, and other operational documentation.
- Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, equipment issues, supply shortages, and other conditions requiring attention.
- Serve as the primary onsite point of contact when assigned and communicate operational issues, staffing concerns, and client requests to TATCO management.
- Ensure employees comply with TATCO policies, safety requirements, site procedures, cleaning schedules, and applicable client requirements.
- Support a safe, professional, productive, and service-focused work environment.
- Perform other custodial, supervisory, and operational duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Previous professional experience in janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, commercial cleaning, or a related environment.
- Minimum one (1) year of supervisory or team-lead experience.
- Experience assigning work and monitoring the completion and quality of daily tasks.
- Knowledge of standard commercial cleaning procedures, chemicals, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to supervise, direct, train, and support employees effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees, management, and client representatives.
- Ability to identify service deficiencies and ensure corrective action is taken.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Dependable attendance and ability to maintain the assigned work schedule.
- Ability to follow and enforce written cleaning schedules, safety requirements, company policies, and client-site procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience, preferably within janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, facilities maintenance, or a related service environment.
- Experience supervising employees in a commercial, government, institutional, or contract-services environment.
- Experience conducting quality-control inspections and documenting results.
- Experience with employee training, coaching, attendance monitoring, and performance management.
- Experience maintaining supply inventories and coordinating supply requests.
- Familiarity with workplace safety practices, chemical handling, and custodial equipment.
- Experience communicating directly with clients or serving as an onsite point of contact.

Pay & Benefits
- Pay: $19.50 - $20.40
- Paid Time Off (PTO): Two weeks of paid time off annually after 12 months of employment.
- Paid Sick Leave: 56 hours of paid sick leave provided upon hire and replenished annually.
