What are the responsibilities and job description for the Torch Welder-Brazing Stainless Steel (Aerospace Mfg.) 1st Shift 6:30am-3pm position at TAT Technologies Ltd?
- Oxy-Acetylene Torch Brazer experienced in stainless steel aircraft parts.
- Reading blueprints or technical schematics. Strong attention to detail to ensure the quality of each weld and the safety of the workplace.
- Use torch brazing equipment as part of the fabrication process.
- Measure and align workpieces using straightedges, clamps, and calipers.
- Ensure compliance with established health/safety policies and regulations.
- Carry out grinding and thermal cutting operations to obtain various textures and sizes for metal parts.
- Operate power and hand tools such as arc welders, buffing machine, and scrapers.
- Maintain good working knowledge of the welding characteristics of metals such as stainless steel, and Inconel.
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, schematics, and codes.
- Must be able to be fitted for a full and or partial face respirator
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Microsoft Office skills
