Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate café equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and blenders, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness.
- Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently using the cash register, ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food service or café industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and knowledge of different coffee beans is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Basic understanding of retail math for handling transactions accurately.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours efficiently.
