Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide friendly, attentive service
- Operate POS systems like Square
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cashiering duties with integrity and attention to detail
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food prep stations, seating areas, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist in food handling and preparation, ensuring quality and safety standards are met at all times
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high service standards
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or strong knowledge of coffee preparation is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in serving food or working in a café or retail setting is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail in food preparation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness
