General Manager - Restaurant

Taste Italian Kitchen is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the opening of our new location in Chelsea, Alabama.

This is an opportunity to join the leadership team of a growing restaurant brand and build a strong team and culture from the beginning. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, lead both front- and back-of-house management teams, and ensure Taste's standards for hospitality, food quality, service and operational performance are delivered every day.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a full-service restaurant environment
• Proven experience leading and developing restaurant management and hourly teams
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including labor, food cost, inventory and financial performance
• A track record of delivering excellent guest experiences and maintaining high service standards
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills
• Experience opening a new restaurant or building a team is a plus
• A hands-on leadership style and genuine passion for hospitality

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the successful opening and ongoing operation of Taste Chelsea
• Recruit, train, develop and retain a high-performing restaurant team
• Establish a positive, accountable and hospitality-driven culture
• Oversee daily front- and back-of-house operations
• Maintain Taste standards for food quality, service, cleanliness and guest experience
• Manage labor, scheduling, inventory and restaurant operating costs
• Partner with culinary leadership to ensure consistency and execution
• Monitor restaurant performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Build relationships within the Chelsea community and represent the Taste brand locally
• Work closely with ownership and executive leadership as the restaurant and brand continue to grow

Selected candidates must be available to complete approximately three weeks of training at Taste Italian Kitchen in Ridgeland, Mississippi prior to the Chelsea opening.

Pay: $80,000–$90,000 per year
