The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and able to work efficiently in a team environment. This position is primarily field-based with minimal travel.

The Role
The Asbestos Worker performs asbestos abatement and related field operations in accordance with regulatory standards and Tasman’s safety-first protocols. This role works closely with crew members to remove asbestos-containing materials such as industrial pipe wrap and gaskets.

What You’ll Be Doing Administrative Responsibilities
- Complete daily timecards and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) forms
- Submit incident reports when required
- Maintain daily communication with supervisors and crew members
- Perform asbestos abatement following federal, state, and local regulations
- Handle, remove, and properly dispose of asbestos-containing materials
- Inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe operation
- Use appropriate PPE and follow all safety procedures
- Perform general labor tasks including shoveling, lifting, and hand auguring
- Secure job sites at the end of each workday
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a crew
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tasks
- Physical capability to work in demanding environments
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years relevant experience
- Experience in asbestos abatement
- Valid Colorado asbestos abatement certifications
- Ability to follow strict safety protocols
- Valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S.
- Background in construction, restoration, or mold remediation
- Experience with asbestos pipeline removal
- Bilingual (Spanish & English)
Field Conditions
This position operates outdoors in conditions that may include:
- Exposure to rain, snow, heat, and cold
- Contact with contaminated soil and asbestos materials
- Use of full PPE, including respirators
- Walking on uneven terrain and working in physically demanding environments
- Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Stand for 2–3 hours at a time
- Walk short distances repeatedly throughout the workday
- Frequent use of hands for handling tools and materials
- Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Occasional evenings or weekends depending on project needs
- Full-time (40 hours depending on workload)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years experience in asbestos abatement
- Valid Colorado asbestos certifications
- Ability to safely perform work in hazardous environments
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
