Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Turret punch and Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining turret punch and press brake machines to produce high-quality sheet metal components. This role requires a strong understanding of fabrication processes, precision measurement, and safety protocols to ensure efficient production and adherence to quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend sheet metal according to specifications and blueprints.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine proper tooling and machine settings.
- Utilize CNC turret and press brake machines, and other machining techniques as needed for fabrication processes.
- Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Adjust machine parameters for optimal performance and troubleshoot issues during production runs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety guidelines and proper handling of tools and equipment.
- Assist with tooling changes, machine maintenance, and minor repairs to ensure continuous operation.
- Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects involving welding, assembly, or other manufacturing tasks.
- Operate forklifts or cranes as necessary for material handling within the workspace.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating press brake machines and familiarity with CNC programming and laser cutting technologies.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, mechanical drawing interpretation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to sheet metal fabrication, tooling setup, and machining processes.
- Ability to use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments accurately.
- Skilled in welding, fabrication techniques, quality inspection procedures, and assembly processes.
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings.
- Familiarity with safety protocols involving sheet metal handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
