We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team at our North Austin location.
About the Position
This position supports the day-to-day accounts receivable functions for a busy, multi-location company. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, dependable, and comfortable working with numbers and customer accounts.
We are looking for someone who is willing to learn and grow with the company. You do not need to know every aspect of our AR processes on day one. Training will be provided, and responsibilities will expand as you gain experience and demonstrate proficiency.
This is a long-term opportunity for someone who wants to develop their accounts receivable and accounting skills.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Posting and applying customer payments accurately
- Researching customer accounts and resolving payment discrepancies
- Reviewing account balances, invoices, credits, and payment history
- Assisting with account reconciliations
- Processing credit card and ACH payments
- Communicating with customers regarding invoices, payments, and account questions
- Assisting with collection efforts on past-due accounts
- Maintaining accurate customer account information
- Performing data entry and general bookkeeping functions
- Preparing and reviewing accounts receivable reports
- Assisting with statements and other routine AR processes
- Communicating with store personnel and other departments to resolve account issues
- Maintaining organized and accurate records
- Learning additional accounts receivable responsibilities as experience grows
- Performing other routine office and accounting duties as needed
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous accounts receivable, bookkeeping, accounting, or related office experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
- Ability to research discrepancies and problem-solve
- Basic computer and data-entry skills
- Comfortable working with numbers and financial information
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn new processes and take on additional responsibilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Compensation & Schedule
Pay: $21.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Bonus: $1,000 bonus after successfully completing six months of employment
