**Job Summary:**
The Event Manager is crucial in overseeing the operational execution of our
events. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of event delivery,
including coordination with internal teams, external partners, and ensuring that
each event is a success from start to finish. This is a public facing position as the
EM will oversee the guest experience. The ideal candidate will have significant
experience in managing outdoor events and a track record of excellent team and
vendor management.
**Key Responsibilities:**

**Event Planning and Execution:**
- Understand and execute the event management plan and associated risk
assessments.
- Manage all site operations, ensuring the venue is prepared and fit for each
event night, including setup and breakdown.
- Coordinate front-of-house (FoH) operations with ticketing staff, Venue Duty
Manager, Stewarding team, Security Manager, Parking supervisor and the
Garden volunteers.

**Communication and Reporting:**
- Oversee communications on-site among all operational staff, vendors, and
venue representatives.
- Ensure that daily briefings and nightly reports, including show and production
reports, are complete and effectively communicated to all stakeholders.

**Safety and Compliance:**
- Responsible for the safety, supervision, and welfare of everyone on-site.
- Lead on-site emergency responses, including evacuation procedures and first
response to incidents along with Duty Manager and Head of Security.
- Manage the accreditation of staff and vendors to maintain security protocols.

**Crowd and Resource Management:**
- Oversee crowd control and manage audience flows in conjunction with
security services to ensure a smooth attendee experience.
- Handle capacities and liaise with the box office regarding any changes on
event nights.
- Manage traffic, first aid, cleaning, and waste removal staff to ensure all
aspects of the event run smoothly.

**Vendor and Concession Management:**
- On the ground management and liaison with all concessions to ensure
operations within contract terms and maintain high standards of health, safety,
and presentation.
- Oversee and maintain steady flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic
throughout the night.

**Technical and Show Quality:**
- Work closely with the show run crew to understand technical aspects and
maintain high standards of presentation throughout the event.
- Manage cancellation procedures as required, in line with event cancellation
policies.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as an Event Manager, particularly with large-scale outdoor
events.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing multiple teams and vendors
on a singular event site.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with
internal and external teams.
- Ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced, and high-pressure environment.
- A commitment to exceptional customer service and an ‘audience first’
approach.
**Education:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration,
or related field preferred.
**Experience:**
