Role Description This full-time, on-site Certified Pharmacy Technician role is based at Tarrytown Pharmacy in Austin, CO. The Certified Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists in processing and filling prescriptions, including data entry, labeling, and preparing medications. Responsibilities include managing inventory, organizing stock, and helping ensure medications are stored and handled according to regulations and safety standards. The role involves interacting with patients at the counter and by phone, answering routine questions, processing insurance claims, and handling point-of-sale transactions with accuracy and professionalism. The technician will also support daily operational tasks such as maintaining a clean work environment, following pharmacy policies, and contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

  • Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician and eligibility to work in a licensed pharmacy setting.
  • Experience with prescription processing, medication preparation, and pharmacy software systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills, with a professional and empathetic approach to patients.
  • Ability to work on-site full-time, stand for extended periods, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of basic pharmacy regulations, confidentiality standards, and safe medication handling practices.
  • Prior retail or community pharmacy experience is preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional pharmacy-related training or coursework is beneficial.
