Summary
This position is responsible for performing the duties of the Court Coordinator; therefore, this position will work in multiple courts.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Minimum educational attainment of either (1) a Bachelor's degree, (2) an Associate's degree, appropriate court management certification or paralegal certification plus two years of related experience, or (3) a high school diploma or GED plus four years of related experience. Related experience includes experience in one or more of the following areas: Court Coordinator or Auxiliary Court Coordinator with Tarrant County or an equivalent position with another such governmental entity; lead, senior, or administrative court clerk position in a district or county clerk's office; legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal in a private law firm; legal secretary, paralegal, legal assistant, litigation support specialist, or other similar position in a district attorney's office; court clerk, paralegal, legal secretary, or legal assistant with the local, state, or federal public defender's office or with a trial or appellate court; clerical/administrative position providing direct support to legal counsel in preparing court cases in a law enforcement division of the state or federal attorney general's office; clerical/administrative position providing direct support to legal counsel in preparing court cases in a public entity; and/or legal assistant, law clerk, or paralegal in the legal division of a company/agency/organization. Knowledge of court systems and procedures. Ability to use standard office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively.

- Responsible for performing trial management.
- Coordinates the activities of other court staff.
- Acts as a liaison to other departments.
- Responsible for maintaining records and creating reports.
- Participates in continuing professional education programs.
- Replies to inquiries from the public.
- Answers the telephone.
- Conducts research and maintains resources.
- Performs administrative duties.
- Submits request for supplies.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
