Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receives, researches, and resolves various property tax or motor vehicle inquiries regarding issues/problems, policies, procedures, and general information and provides accurate information as requested.
- Prepares effective correspondence for problem resolution through live chat or email as needed or required.
- Receives, researches, and resolves, or refers to appropriate staff, inquiries that require detailed research or specialized responses based on office policy.
- Acquires and maintains knowledge of property tax and motor vehicle procedures and policies based on assigned area of expertise.
- Assists callers with limited information.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
NOTE: You must fill out the work history and education sections of application to show you have years of experience/education as required by hiring department or be disqualified.
High School Diploma or GED.- Six (6) months recent experience in a call center environment.
- Ability to answer phones promptly, cheerfully, showing concern and patience.
- Must be skilled in operating computer and calculator.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred one (1) year experience in job related field with knowledge of state property tax code and motor vehicle laws.
- Employees may be required to work at any of the Tax Office locations.
If hired, must provide proof of educational attainment at new hire processing
Tarrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudication in the past seven years and may include financial history reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment. A conviction or deferred adjudication is not an automatic bar to employment. Each case is considered individually.

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to sit or stand for long periods, walk, bend, climb, stoop, lift, push, and pull.
