Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Tarrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudication in the past seven years and may include credit reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment. A conviction or deferred adjudication is not an automatic bar to employment. Each case is considered individually.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assists in creating and editing graphical and tabular data on GIS and voter registration systems.
- Assists GIS Analyst with applications and analysis of problems.
- Collects, edits and publishes data and ensures proper procedures are followed.
- Researches and analyzes various information including electoral districts and voting precinct boundaries for new streets added to voter registration street index and TEAM.
- Enters street information indexes in voter registration system and TEAM.
- Maintains quality control checks on data imported and exported from the State's TEAM System for accuracy.
- Updates information related to Precincts and the District Table.
- Interprets statistical data for redistricting.
- Produces maps for election kits for Election Day and early voting by personal appearance.
- Produces custom maps for clients.
- Digitizes maps using GIS software.
- Resolves non-matching data on State Data for street indexes.
- Assists in managing GIS data including systems monitoring, interfacing, and verification of data.
- Provides GIS information to other County departments and employees such as Commissioners, JPs, Constables, the Sheriff's Office and others as needed.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED. Associate's degree preferred.
- Three (3) full-time years of work experience in GIS computer graphics, cartography, or related field.
- Spreadsheet and/or word processing experience or experience with specialized software/application.
- Ability to define precise descriptive geographic information. Intermediate oral and written communication/presentation skills.
- Accurate in data entry.
- Must be skilled in logical problem-solving.
