Assignments will be challenging, and experienced engineers/managers will mentor students in the Tarkett Internship Program. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with safe work practices to ensure own safety as well as co-workers’
- Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of solutions deployed in support of business goals and objectives.
- Handle multiple projects and contribute to safety & quality assurance initiatives.
- Analyze data, coordinate with applicable stakeholders, and assist in the implementation of new procedures/projects.
- Gain exposure to our multiple business units within Operations and make an impact.
- Gain exposure to cost control initiatives and budgeting.
- Participate in meetings, project reviews, seminars, trainings, etc.
- Take on additional responsibilities and projects as required.
- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in any of these fields:
- Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Controls/Automation, Chemical, etc.)
- Quality Systems
- Environmental / Industrial Safety
- Business
- Tools –Matlab, Microsoft Office (word, power point, excel).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized and able to work both as a team and independently.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Prior manufacturing-related experience or coursework is a plus but not required.
- 12 months, not weeks
- Paid internship, rate depends on year in school
