Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cable Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications and network installation, with hands-on experience in fiber splicing, cabling, and field service. This role involves working in various environments to install, maintain, and troubleshoot cable systems while ensuring high-quality service delivery to our clients.
Duties
- Install and maintain telecommunication systems, including fiber optic and low voltage cabling.
- Perform fiber splicing and ensure proper connectivity of network installations.
- Work with Cisco routers and configure them for optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment such as ohmmeters for testing and troubleshooting cable installations.
- Conduct field service visits to diagnose and resolve customer issues related to network connectivity.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician or similar role in the telecommunications industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various hand tools.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts and Ethernet technologies.
- Experience in telephony systems and cabling techniques is preferred.
- Ability to work independently in the field while managing time effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
