What are the responsibilities and job description for the line cook / prep cook position at Taqueria La Marea?
We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to Taqueria La Mareas specifications and to set up stations for menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting with all their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.Line Cook Job Responsibilities:Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.Line Cook Qualifications/Skills:Basic written and verbal communication skillsOrganizational skillsAccuracy and speed in executing tasksAbility to work as a team memberFollows directions and instructionsEducation and Experience Requirements:High school diploma or GEDOne to two years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cookCertificate in Culinary Arts preferredExperience with various cooking methods and proceduresFamiliar with industry best practicesBenefits:Employee discountFlexible schedulePhysical Setting:Fast casual restaurantSchedule:Day shiftNight shiftWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:TipsCompany DescriptionTaqueria La Marea Is an Authentic Fast casual dining restaurant.
