OverviewWe are looking for an IT Technician with experience in restaurant operations and high-volume environments. This role is essential for ensuring the proper functions of point-of-sale (POS) systems, networks, kitchen display systems (KDS), printers, payment terminals, digitals menu boards, and all other technological infrastructure that supports the daily operations of our stores.
The ideal candidate should feel comfortable working both in the office and onsite at restaurant locations, troubleshooting issues in real time, and providing excellent support to restaurant staff.
Responsibilities
POS & Restaurant System Support
- Provide technical support for point of sale (POS) systems.
- Troubleshoot issues with printers. KDS, Controllers, and kitchen monitors
- Manage order flow and ticket routing configuration
- Program and update menus in the POS system, including:
- Pricing
- Categories
- Modifiers
- New product integration
Digital Signage (Digital Menu Boards)
- Work with Digital Signage systems, Including:
- Digital menu boards
- Upload, update, and schedule digital content
- Diagnosing issues such as shutdowns, reboots, signal loss, or frozen content
· Coordinate with vendors for replacements or firmware updates
Delivery Platform Support
- Troubleshoot issues with Uber Eats, Door Dash, Deliverect, and Grub hub
- Resolve incidents such as:
o Orders not received by the POS
o Duplicate Orders
o Rejected Orders
o API integration failures
- Monitor delivery integrations in real time for high- volume stores.
Equipment Installation & Maintenance
- Install full POS Systems for new store Openings
- Replace Windows computers, routers, witches, access points, and controllers
- Maintain and repair Point of Sale equipment
Network Support
- Diagnose Connectivity issues (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi)
- Configure routers and basic firewalls
- Ensure proper communications with external platforms such as Door Dash and Uber
Cameras & Security Systems
- Install and support DVR/NVR systems and security cameras
- Ensure proper remote access functionality
Real-Time Trouble Shooting
- Respond to critical failures affecting operations (POS down, Network outages, printers and servers)
- Maintain ongoing communication with store managers and corporate teams
Documentation & Coordination
- Document all work performed and preventive maintenance
- Coordinate with external vendors (Comcast, Uber, Door Dash, Etc.)
- Follow all corporate IT Security Policies.
Job Requirements:
Technical Skills
- 1-3 years of IT Support Experience
- Experience with POS, networks, delivery platforms, and Digital Signage
- Ability to diagnose and repair hardware/software issues
- Experience with thermal printers, KDS, servers, routers, and switches
Soft Skills
- Excellent communications and customer service With Restaurant staff
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong organization skills
- Responsible and Reliable
- Ability to work independently and in a team
Additional Requirements
- Availability to travel between multiple restraint locations
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) Preferred
Work Schedule and Location:
- Based at corporate office with frequent visits to store locations
- Flexible schedule depending on emergencies and project workload
Salary:
- $25 - $28 DOE
