We're Hiring: Project Manager - Building Code Compliance

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee code compliance for MTA capital projects. This role ensures adherence to New York State Fire and Building Codes and Federal ADA requirements, maintaining the highest standards of safety and accessibility.

Location: 2 Broadway, New York City (Plus field sites in White Plains, Lexington Ave, Jamaica LIRR Yard)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

Travel: 40% Fieldwork

What You'll Do

• Review drawings and project documents for code and ADA compliance.
• Provide written feedback during design phases.
• Join design review meetings to ensure accessibility standards.
• Inspect construction and maintenance work for Fire, Code, and ADA compliance.
• Document findings and enforce regulations.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Education:
• Bachelor’s in engineering, architecture, or related field 2 years experience, OR
• High school diploma 6 years experience.
• Experience:
• Minimum 3 years in code enforcement, accessible design, inspections, or related fields.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
  

Skills & Certifications

• OSHA 30-hour certification (before fieldwork).
• NYS Code Enforcement Official Certification (required before starting).
• Track safety training for NYC Transit, Metro North, or LIRR.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of building materials.
  
  

Other Requirements

• Must provide own safety boots.
