About the Role
Centro, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer to support advanced product quality planning and ensure customer requirements are met or exceeded from design through production. This role is critical to the successful launch of new products and the ongoing quality performance of existing projects.
As a Quality Engineer at Centro, you will play a key role in PPAP activities, process capability, inspection planning, and continuous improvement initiatives while working cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and our customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support PPAP and customer part approval activities for assigned projects
- Develop and maintain inspection plans, conduct MSA, and support gauge design
- Support ISIR activities, including CMM scheduling and tolerance analysis
- Collaborate with Project Engineers on:
- Critical characteristic identification
- Tolerancing and GD&T
- Fixture, gauge, and inspection method development
- Facilitate and apply quality tools such as:
- PFMEA
- SPC and capability studies
- Root cause and Pareto analysis
- Process mapping
- Serve as a driver for process capability studies and improvement initiatives
- Support manufacturing during new product launches and ongoing production
- Track customer approvals, deviations, and quality status; communicate updates cross-functionally
- Assist with internal audits and continuous improvement of Centro’s Quality System
- Build and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience (required)
- ASQ Quality Engineer certification encouraged
- Experience with ISO-based quality systems
- Ability to use measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
