Experience: 15 – 20 years
Domain: Automotive Bumpers
Main Responsibilities & Tasks
- Development of Design Concepts based on project direction guidance from OEM
- CAD Activities in CATIA V5 and V6
- Evaluation and Open Item Closure
- Creation of Layouts
- Styling Feasibility with LA Studio
- 3D Modeling
- Drawing Creation to OEM standards using latest software systems
- CATIA V5 will be the primary CAD program used through Die Go
- Supporting Document Creation
- Cost Estimation & Analysis of Supplier Quotes
- Evaluation Attendance & C/M creation and response (e.g. Gap and Flushness, IQS, Wiring & Piping, etc.)
Requirements
- Must be on-site full time at the OEM in Ohio
- Act as PIC and window person to Client Near Shore and Offshore PSCs
- Manage Offshore PSC workload and responsibilities
- Must understand the OEM development flow
- Overall project schedule
- General understanding of expectations at each milestone
- Working knowledge of OEM development systems
- High Level of CATIA V5 and V6 capability
- Automotive Bumper Design experience
- Ability to work with and negotiate with Styling, Suppliers, and Factory
- Ability to support OEM's best interests and best practices
- Understanding of part/assembly cost drivers
- Understanding of design methods to achieve development targets
- Experience with Gap & Flushness, IQS, Wiring & Piping
- Strong 3D Modeling and Drawing Creation skills
- Experience with Styling Feasibility and LA Studio
- Experience with Evaluation, Open Item Closure, and C/M response
