Tangible Investments, Inc. is an established Laguna Beach company with over 30 years in business specializing in rare coins, precious metals, jewelry, and collectibles. We are seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant with strong QuickBooks experience to join our accounting team. This position is ideal for an experienced bookkeeper who enjoys working with numbers, keeping financial records organized, and supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of a busy business.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys bookkeeping, working with numbers, and keeping financial records organized and accurate. We offer a friendly, team-oriented environment with flexible scheduling and are open to either a full-time employee with benefits or a part-time employee looking for approximately 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Download and post daily bank and credit card transactions into QuickBooks.
- Record and apply customer payments received through eBay, PayPal, 1stDibs, and other payment platforms.
- Process accounts payable, including grading service invoices and payments.
- Scan and organize vendor bills and accounting documents.
- Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare reports used for monthly sales verification and commission calculations.
- Prepare correspondence related to licensing renewals and other business requirements.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and assist with other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Advanced QuickBooks experience is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Experience with accounts payable and payment processing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Experience with e-commerce accounting (PayPal, eBay, Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce, or similar platforms) is a plus.
