A legal services organization in Maryland is currently seeking a new Paralegal to join their team in the Greater Annapolis area to assist with managing pre-lit cases in a high-volume environment.
About the Opportunity:Shift: Day
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:30am to 5:30pm (9am to 3pm on Fridays)
Setting: Law Firm
Responsibilities:
- Drafting letters of representation to insurance companies
- Opening claims with liability and PIP carriers
- Collecting PIP and requesting medical records
- Monitoring medical treatment and preparing demand letters
- Corresponding with clients and preparing pre-suit disbursal agreements
- Performing other duties, as needed
- 1 year of relevant Legal work experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with Legal Case Management software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong writing skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Certification in Legal Studies
- Experience with high-volume Case Management
- Client Relationship Management experience
