NOC Operator

A top Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated NOC Operator to work in a hybrid role at one of their locations in Vienna, VA or Pensacola, FL.

***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite at least 3 days a week.***

Responsibilities:

• Monitor network infrastructure using tools such as Moogsoft or equivalent monitoring/alerting systems

• Identify, analyze, and respond to network alerts, incidents, and performance issues in a timely manner

• Manage and follow established operational processes to ensure consistency and efficiency in incident handling

• Perform initial troubleshooting of routers, switches, and network connectivity issues

• Create, update, and manage incident tickets using platforms such as ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems

• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to escalate and resolve complex issues

• Maintain clear and concise documentation of incidents, resolutions, and standard operating procedures

• Utilize collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams) to communicate effectively across teams

• Ensure adherence to SLAs, operational standards, and escalation procedures

Qualifications:

• General knowledge of Networking concepts, including routers, switches, and network connections

• Experience with monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Moogsoft or equivalent)

• Familiarity with Ticketing Systems such as ServiceNow or similar platforms

• Experience working with vendor support and managing escalations

• Proficiency in collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams

• Excellent written communication and documentation skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Strong process management and organizational skills

Desired Qualifications

• Previous experience in a NOC or IT Operations environment

• Basic understanding of ITIL processes and Incident Management frameworks

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment (shift work may be required)
