A services organization in New Jersey is seeking a new Claims Specialist to manage insurance claims with a focus on detail and initiative in an on-site setting.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 5pm
Responsibilities:
- Processing and managing insurance claims accurately
- Handling claim denials, rejections, and appeals
- Obtaining prior authorizations and reauthorizations
- Entering customer and claims data into database systems
- Ensuring accuracy and completeness of entered information
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1 year of related work experience
- High School Diploma / GED
- Attention to detail
- Initiative in asking questions
- Team-oriented attitude
- Good communication skills
- Problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Healthcare billing experience
- Familiarity with Brighttree software
- Ability to navigate insurance payer portals
