A nonprofit services organization in New York City is actively seeking a new Behavioral Intervention Specialist to join their team in the Bronx, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in various residential settings.
About the Opportunity:
- Assignment Length: Ongoing (possible Temp to Perm)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (Flexible and weekends available)
- Hours: 7am to 3pm or 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm or 11am to 7pm or 12pm to 8pm (approximately 37.5 hours per week)
- Setting: Group Home
Responsibilities:
- Developing functional behavioral assessments and support plans
- Providing individual and group counseling
- Presenting behavior support plans to committees
- Training staff on behavior support plans
- Providing referrals for psychiatric and psychological services
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2 years of related work experience
- Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology
- Comfortable working with IDD individuals
- Solid assessment and documentation skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience with the IDD population
- Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) certification
- SCIP or PROMOTE certification
- Experience with PrecisionCare EMR
- Experience working in a Group Home setting
Salary : $27 - $32
