We are seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team in Thousand Oaks, CA, specializing in caring for IDD adults. The role involves providing essential nursing care and collaborating with the healthcare team.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Evening (Full-Time, 5 days/week, 8 hrs)
- Schedule: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
- Hours: 8 hours per day
- Setting: Healthcare facility
Responsibilities:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) will be responsible for:
- Reviewing 24-hour reports at the start of the shift
- Administering controlled drugs per regulations
- Conducting walking rounds every 2 hours
- Communicating medical needs to DSP staff
- Preparing and administering medications
Qualifications:
- 2 years of nursing experience
- Graduate of a Board-approved LVN program
- Current LVN license in California
- Experience with G-Tubes
- Basic nursing care skills
- Medication administration
- Strong communication skills
- Empathy for individuals with disabilities
- Reliability and teamwork
Desired Skills:
- 3 years of nursing experience preferred
- Degree in Nursing
- Knowledge of preventive care
