About the Job
We’re hiring a VP of Finance & Operations to lead and scale the operational backbone of our firm. This person will own fund and management company finance, coordinate with legal and compliance stakeholders, manage internal systems and software, and support our investors and portfolio companies. This is a strategic and hands-on role critical to maintaining operational excellence as we scale.
Basic Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or fund operations
- Deep knowledge of fund accounting, capital calls/distributions, LP management, and tax processes
- Experience working directly with auditors, fund admins, legal, and tax advisors
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel/Google Sheets, and fund administration platforms
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple threads across teams
- Strong communication skills and discretion in handling confidential information
Job Responsibilities
- Own all fund accounting processes including quarterly financials, capital accounts, waterfalls, management fees, and carry calculations
- Support portfolio valuation processes and maintain audit-ready documentation
- Manage tax filings including 1099s, K-1s, and coordinate annual tax processes with CPAs
- Oversee budgeting, cash flow forecasting, reimbursements, invoices, and management company financials
- Coordinate with legal, tax, fund admin, and other partners across fund and entity operations
- Support investor onboarding, subscription document workflows, and LP communications
- Track legal documentation related to closings, LP transfers, compliance, and governance
- Manage HR and firm infrastructure: payroll, insurance, entity filings, and business renewals
- Maintain investor portal, assist with investor updates and support IR functions
- Own internal software stack and systems (Google Admin, Microsoft, etc.)
- Handle office operations, vendor management, internal events, and team planning
