Tandem Behavioral Health is seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and experienced Clinical Supervisor (CS) to join our growing team. In this leadership role, you will guide and mentor a multidisciplinary team of clinicians while ensuring the highest standards in client care, compliance, and operational excellence.
As a Clinical Supervisor, you will directly support the clinical development of staff, ensure adherence to Virginia Medicaid and DBHDS standards, and collaborate with leadership on quality improvement and risk management. You will also play a key role in intake coordination, clinical oversight, documentation review, and team supervision.

Referral & Intake Coordination
- Conduct screenings, admissions, and assessments, as needed
- Oversee and support the client intake and orientation process
- Complete and/or oversee all clinical authorizations (initial and continued stay)
- Track and manage approvals in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Participate in peer-to-peer reviews when necessary
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant documentation of clinical services
- Review and approve treatment plans, discharge summaries, and medical records requests
- Conduct regular chart audits and ensure proper signatures and data accuracy
- Provide clinical or administrative shift coverage as needed
- Participate in on-call and drug screen coverage rotations
- Represent Tandem at community events, conferences, and fairs
- Lead client and staff meetings; assist with group and housing coordination
- Monitor compliance with Medicaid, DBHDS, and internal policies
- Manage client grievance, abuse, and incident reporting procedures
- Lead or assign internal investigations and follow-ups
- Supervise and support clinical team members, including schedules, training, and evaluations
- Assist with audits, accreditation visits, and facilities inspections
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field (Required)
- Licensed or License-Eligible in Virginia (LCSW, LPC, LMFT preferred)
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
- Required certifications: CPR, First Aid, Behavior Modification
- Valid Virginia driver’s license and clean driving record
