Job Summary
Job Summary: Job incumbent serves as a cultural knowledge bearer and performs various duties during tourist seasons at the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center.
Adhere to the TCC Ch’eghwtsen’ model of service and guiding principle which requires providing timely and effective service along with the ability to interact with others in a way that inspires trust and demonstrates respect, compassion and empathy.

Representative Duties: Under general supervision of the Cultural Program Coordinator, job incumbent will:
1. Lead visitors through the exhibits and cultural materials available at the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center.
2. Familiarizing visitors with the Fairbanks area, provide visitors with directions if needed.
3. May assist Cultural Program Coordinator in coordinating tour times during summer season.
4. May help organize and prepare for cultural activities.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Must be between the ages of fourteen and twenty-one (14-21). Any youth younger than eighteen (18) must be able to obtain a State of Alaska Youth Work Permit before starting.
2. Familiarity with Interior Alaska Athabascan cultures, languages and history.
3. Must pass background check pursuant to federal Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act requirements and State of Alaska background check.
Preference:
1. Lived experience in rural Alaska, knowledge of subsistence hunting/fishing practices or other cultural experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability to communicate in a professional manner.
2. Must have computer skills.
3. Excellent customer services skills required.
Supervision: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
