Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu and specials
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Manage guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure overall guest satisfaction with attentive customer service
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities, while maintaining proper food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations during busy hours
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing and billing
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and order calculations
- Previous experience in serving, host/hostess roles, is highly desirable
