Job TitleInstructional Designer I Agency Texas A&M University Department AVP for Finance & Deputy CFO Proposed Minimum SalaryCommensurate Job LocationCollege Station, Texas Job TypeStaff Job Description A Glimpse of the Job The Instructional Designer I, under general supervision, supports the Department of Business Practices by assisting in the development of engaging training materials and learning resources for Finance & Business Services staff. This position collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create instructional content, coordinate training video production, and support the design of online and multimedia learning initiatives using instructional design best practices. The role assists with developing eLearning modules, training outlines, job aids, and staff development resources that support financial and business processes. This position also helps maintain and improve training materials and digital learning resources to promote effective employee onboarding, compliance, and professional development throughout the division. Essential Duties Training Design and Multimedia & Resource Development Applies instructional design best practices to support engaging and effective staff learning experiences Collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs) and departmental staff to plan, coordinate, and develop instructional materials, training outlines, and eLearning content. Coordinates and schedules training video recordings Assists with creating interactive training modules, training videos, digital learning materials, and supporting instructional resources Develops job aids, guides, presentations, and online training materials to support departmental & division operations Assists with reviewing and updating existing training materials to ensure accuracy and consistency Staff Support Responds to staff questions and provides guidance on relevant training resources and eLearning tools based on their role and development needs Assist with assigned project communication including timelines, deliverables, and communication with partners Evaluation and Improvement Assists with reviewing training materials and learning resources for usability and effectiveness Assists with reviewing feedback and making updates to training materials as needed Helps identify opportunities to improve instructional materials, workflows, and staff learning experiences Assists with maintaining consistency in branding, formatting, and accessibility standards across training materials Programmatic Support Provides administrative support and helps create presentations, signage, digital materials, and supporting documentation for departmental events, programs, and training sessions Supports conferences and special events by assisting with communication, scheduling, logistics, attendee materials, volunteer management, etc. Organizes files, maintaining records, multimedia files and training assets, and instructional documentation Tracks project timelines and deliverables What You Need to Know Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.
