Essential Duties/Tasks: Event Coordination and Management Coordinates events and conferences; providing central coordination from event inquiries through execution. Provides on-site customer support during events. Work with fellow managers & directors to provide the best events to our customers. Other duties as assigned. Direct Client Interaction Work with clients throughout the event planning process, sometimes starting as early as event conception. Take steps to ensure that all event & audience needs are understood, confirming timelines, any security expectations are known, & arranging any special requests. Supervision and Staff Management Assists in the supervision of student staff. Establish clear understanding of event expectations for support and technical staff ahead of event setup, ensuring an efficient setup and successful event. Communication Communicates pertinent organizational information to upper management and administration, event coordinators, set up crews, and student leaders. Facility Oversight Assistance Work with fellow facility staff to monitor issues that could impact events, guest safety, or general upkeep. Work with SSC for scheduling of any repairs or projects and follow-up. Other Duties Perfoms other duties as assigned. Two years of related experience in event planning including related supervisory experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Strong organizational skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
