Job Summary: Grocery - Frozen/Chill Clerks are responsible for receiving, storing, stocking, and maintaining merchandise in refrigerated and frozen areas. They ensure displays are clean, organized, and visually appealing to support sales and provide excellent customer service. Additional duties may be assigned to support store operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor inventory levels and identify items for reorder or replenishment.
- Inspect merchandise to ensure quality and sale readiness.
- Monitor expiration dates and rotate product using the first-to-expire, first-to-sell (FIFO) method.
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service, including product information.
- Stock and organize shelves, cases, and displays to maintain an attractive presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including sweeping and mopping as needed.
- Receive and verify deliveries against invoices; unpack and store products properly.
- Requisition merchandise based on stock levels, space, and customer demand.
- Ensure accurate pricing by labeling and updating tags as needed.
- Follow all timekeeping procedures to accurately record hours worked.
