The Tampa Bay Rowdies are seeking energetic, passionate, and reliable coaches to join our Youth Development team. Coaches will work with players ages 5–12 in our Junior Rowdies and Rising Rowdies programs, creating a positive, engaging, and development-focused soccer experience. - Game awareness and decision-making
- Teamwork and sportsmanship
Position Details
- Part-time (approximately 5–10 hours per week, depending on availability)
- Programs are held:
- Wednesday evenings
- Saturday mornings
- Opportunity to work Tampa Bay Rowdies youth camps (up to 35 hours per week during camp sessions)
- Complimentary tickets to select Rowdies home matches on days worked
- Coach an assigned group of players ages 5–12.
- Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate training sessions.
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Teach technical skills while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of fields, equipment, and training activities.
- Follow all Tampa Bay Rowdies coaching curriculum, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate professionally with players, parents, fellow coaches, and staff.
- Represent the Tampa Bay Rowdies in a professional manner at all times.
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the game of soccer
- Minimum U.S. Soccer Grassroots Coaching License required
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Patient, enthusiastic, and passionate about coaching youth players
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Flexible schedule with availability on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings
- Must be available for at least 6 of the 8 Junior/Rising Rowdies sessions each season
- Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods while coaching outdoors
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check and SafeSport training prior to employment
- Ability to stand, walk, run, and demonstrate soccer skills for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry training equipment weighing up to 30 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and humidity
