Painter

The Painter is responsible for performing painting and surface preparation work throughout Vinik Sports Group facilities. This role includes patching, sanding, painting, and maintaining a variety of surfaces while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality. The Painter will operate painting tools and equipment, handle materials in accordance with safety guidelines, assist other trades as needed, and help maintain a clean and professional environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent service while representing Vinik Sports Group in a professional manner

• Perform basic patching, sanding, and surface preparation to ensure areas are ready for painting.
• Apply paint, primer, and other coatings to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Safely handle and dispose of paints, thinners, solvents, and other materials according to safety guidelines.
• Assist other trades and maintenance team members with projects and repairs as needed.
• Follow daily work assignments and directions from supervisors and senior painters.
• Use and maintain painting tools and equipment safely and properly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of painting techniques, products, and equipment.
• Represent Vinik Sports Group in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Approximate number of events worked per year: 70

• At least two (2) years’ experience in the painting field.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Knowledgeable of painting related equipment.
• Possess a good knowledge of drywall hanging, patching, and finishing.
• Ability to decipher problems and remedy same

• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in office and arena environment that can be exciting, loud and distracting
• This is an onsite role
• Ability to work extended hours including late nights, holidays, and weekends as needed
• Ability to lift/carry/move up to 50lbs
• Ability to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperatures
• Ability to use hands and fingers on office and mobile technology
• Ability to commute to various venues throughout the Greater Tampa Bay Area
• Ability to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or people
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs.
• Ability to climb ladders, kneel, bend, stoop and squat without any physical movement restriction
• Ability to work comfortably at high heights using man lifts, scissor lifts, truss, ladders, and catwalks
• Ability to work comfortable around special effects including, but not limited to: haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc.
