First impressions are everything! As a Front Desk Agent with Tamarack, you have the opportunity to provide a welcoming experience like no other. Your personalized greeting, care in guest room selection, and knowledge of the Resort will ensure our guests will have a lasting memory of their visit.

Tamarack is a premier, all-season destination offering an unparalleled blend of world-class skiing/snowboarding, championship golf, pristine lake adventures, and vibrant village life. We are dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences for our guests year-round, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Idaho mountains, meadows, and Lake Cascade.

Product, resort sales, service and system training will be provided. Compensation is hourly plus commissions on consumed sales and bookings made without error. Lodging Front Desk is a great team to join with opportunities for promotion within the department and resort.

RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned, including weekend work.

• Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.

• Greet, check in, and settle guest accounts while ensuring all service standards are followed.

• You will not only be responsible for checking in the guests but will be responsible for giving guests a positive first impression of the Resort in regard to services offered and portraying a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

• Answer guest inquiries regarding rates, special packages, and general information accurately in a timely manner.

• Have a thorough knowledge of different types of homes offered and assist guest with booking the best home to fit their needs.

• Assist guests regarding resort activities & information on available amenities in an informative and helpful way.

• Greet guests as they come and go, and making sure that they are settling in.

• You need to have a fast paced and dynamic personality.

• Accurate completion of all special billing requests including various group billings.

• Follow department policies, procedures, and service standards.

• Prepare information for audit.

• Put together check-in packets, print lift tickets, and issue keys.

• Relay maintenance and housekeeping requests to correct department.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Proficiency in English both written and oral.

• Previous customer service experience required.

• Previous reservation system experience.

• Computer literacy in Microsoft Window applications required.

• Must be able to type 40 words per minute.

• Must possess a professional presentation.

• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.

• Highly responsible & reliable.

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.

• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm, and courteous at all times.

• Adaptability to changes in work environment and able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events

• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods.

• Must enjoy working and interacting with the public.

• Ability to multitask.

• Must be over 21 years of age.

 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Requires knowledge of computer hardware, word-processing, spreadsheet, and data base software, prefer experience with Microsoft Office. Requires knowledge of business letter writing and business forms; office procedures, business English, including vocabulary, correct grammatical usage and punctuation, filing systems; and common office machines and their operation.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

• 1 year customer service in resort industry.

 

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

This position may include safely driving guests to and from designated resort locations as needed. Requires possession of a valid Driver’s License with a driving record that meets the standards required by the Association’s insurance carrier.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, members of the business community and fellow resort employees. Ability to effectively present information.

 

Reasoning Liability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
