We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Lead Behavior Specialist to join our team of talented BCBAs! This position is intended to provide leadership training and experience while working toward certification, and the individual will be promoted to a Clinical Supervisor position upon passing the exam.

This role involves working closely with our Clinical Director and other supervisors on our team. You will be assessing client needs, developing personalized treatment plans, implementing effective behavioral interventions, and supervising Registered Behavior Technicians. The Lead Behavior Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals by promoting positive behavior changes and fostering independence.
Applicants must hold a Master's degree within a related field OR be finishing up their final semester in their Master's program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral therapy and a passion for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism.
Duties
- Conduct clinical evaluations to assess the behavioral and developmental needs of clients under the supervision of a BCBA.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), under the supervision of a BCBA.
- Provide a minimum of 25 hours/week of direct supervisory duties.
- Additional 15 hours/week allotted towards tasks considered non-billable in nature (training on assessments and treatment plans, collaborative meetings, leadership experience, 1:1 meetings with RBTs, material preparation, etc.).
- Maintain a caseload under the supervision of a BCBA in order to gain skills needed to manage teams and client care.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor client progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide training and support to staff on best practices for working with individuals with disabilities.
- Advocate for clients' needs within various settings, including schools and community resources.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, special education, or a related field. Will consider candidates who have one semester left in their Master's program.
- Working towards certification as a BCBA/BCaBA
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum.
- Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and data collection methods.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical record management.
- Strong organizational skills in order to manage their own hours and schedules.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of behavioral health.
