Attention all professionals working towards BCBA/BCaBA certification!

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Lead Behavior Specialist to join our team of talented BCBAs! This position is intended to provide leadership training and experience while working toward certification, and the individual will be promoted to a Clinical Supervisor position upon passing the exam.

At Tamarack, our values are rooted in compassionate care, quality client support, implementing evidence-based practices, putting our clients and employees first, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone thrives, and making a true difference in the lives of our clients and their families. We are looking for a Behavior Specialist who shares these values and would like to work cohesively with other stakeholders and providers within the community.

This role involves working closely with our Clinical Director and other supervisors on our team. • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), under the supervision of a BCBA.
  • Provide a minimum of 25 hours/week of direct supervisory duties.
  • Additional 15 hours/week allotted towards tasks considered non-billable in nature (training on assessments and treatment plans, collaborative meetings, leadership experience, 1:1 meetings with RBTs, material preparation, etc.).
  • Maintain a caseload under the supervision of a BCBA in order to gain skills needed to manage teams and client care.
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor client progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide training and support to staff on best practices for working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Advocate for clients' needs within various settings, including schools and community resources.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, special education, or a related field. Will consider candidates who have one semester left in their Master's program.
  • Working towards certification as a BCBA/BCaBA
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and data collection methods.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical record management.
  • Strong organizational skills in order to manage their own hours and schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
