Tama-Toledo Christian School (TTCS) is a new accredited K–9 independent Christian school that launched in August 2025 in Tama, Iowa. Located at 600 Oswego Street in a beautifully renovated 125-year-old former church building, TTCS combines rich heritage with modern learning facilities. Our Christ-centered community is committed to whole-child education; spiritual, academic, emotional, and social, in partnership with families. Job Summary

• Join the faculty of Tama-Toledo Christian School and help shape our school’s culture, mission, and programs.
• Teach multiple grade levels in a close-knit, faith-filled and small (10 students per class average) classroom setting that emphasizes both strong academics and Christian character.
• Integrate a Biblical worldview into all subjects and foster a love of learning and moral development.
• Partner with dedicated colleagues and supportive families to guide students in their faith and education.
• Participate in community life and outreach, helping students serve others as part of our school’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily lesson plans for K–9 that align with TTCS’s approved curriculum and Christian worldview.
• Maintain a caring, safe, and well-managed classroom environment that nurtures academic growth and character development.
• Use assessments and student data to tailor instruction and ensure strong academic outcomes for all learners.
• Keep accurate records of student progress and manage classroom behavior in line with the school’s Christian values and expectations.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues; communicate regularly about student progress and needs.
• Serve as an ambassador for TTCS: support and promote the school’s mission, participate actively in faculty meetings and professional development, and join in school events and community outreach initiatives.

Qualifications

• Deep commitment to TTCS’s Christian mission and Statement of Faith.
• Bachelor’s degree, in education or related field preferred; Iowa teaching license preferred but not required.
• Experience working with children.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Passionate, positive attitude with a heart for student growth.
• Professional maturity: calm under pressure, adaptable, and respectful of confidentiality.
