About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our health tech price transparency platform. This role involves writing clear acceptance tests in Gherkin format and performing thorough manual testing to validate functionality and user experience. Over time, you will have the opportunity to expand into test automation, helping us scale our QA processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain acceptance criteria and test cases using a behavior-driven development (BDD) approach with Gherkin syntax.
  • Execute manual testing across web and mobile platforms to identify defects and usability issues.
  • Utilize testing tools such as Postman and database queries to validate API and integration behavior.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Document and report bugs, track resolutions, and verify fixes.
  • Participate in sprint planning and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes.
  • Leverage strategic test automation for validating behavior.


Qualifications

  • Experience in manual QA testing for web and mobile applications.
  • Technical skills to utilize tools such as Postman and database queries for data-focused testing.
  • Familiarity with Gherkin format and behavior-driven development (BDD) principles.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on QA engineering experience, with automation testing, scripting, or software development testing background, is a huge plus.


Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript or other scripting languages.
  • Experience in healthcare or price transparency solutions.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).
